Retro Caddy

There are so many ways to use a caddy! I have several all around my house, and this retro one will be next! It is called the Gather Together Kitchen Caddy  but can be used so many ways other than in the kitchen! It measures 101/2″W × 7″D × 5″T, is metal, and the message on the tag on it reads, Gather Together.

It works great to use  this caddy as a collect all on the countertop, to hold greeting cards and other desk top items, on the bathroom to hold beauty supplies, or as a caddy with fun birthday plates, cups, and silverware!

It also works great to create a gift basket, hold coloring books and pencil colors, as a centerpiece with flowers, or candles!

Christian Music Decor

Lyrics For Life

I love Contemporary Christian music! There so many great artists who know just the right words to sing, bringing us to our knees in tears, or dancing in praise! And sometimes in the same song!

Do you have that song that just reaches out and touches your soul that you know has impacted and possible changed your life? Is there a lyric of that song that you remember and love? Or is it a lyric you would love others to know and cherish as you do?

The Lyrics For Life are plaques of those music lyrics we have grown to love!

The Lyrics For Life are 2 for $20, and are 5 1/2″ square. They have a keyhole on the back to be hung, or a peg to stand on a desk or shelf. Some are even embellished with glitter! The 8 featured songs are:
1. Father’s Love Hymn,
2. How He Loves Us (here sung by David Crowder),
3. Better Is One Day (sung here by Matt Redman),
4. My King (sung here by Newsboys),
5. The Revelation Song (sung here by Kari Jobe),
6. I Will Rise (sung here by Chris Tomlin),
7. Everlasting Song (sung here by Lincoln Brewster).

See how pretty they could be in your home!

As For Me And My House We Will Serve The Lord

I personally just love when men love the Mary & Martha products! When I am a vendor and a man walks by stops looks around and tells me “Thank you for being here”, or “Your booth reminds me of my home growing up”, I just get chills. Men want their home to look a certain way too! So often we as women as so the ones to decorate and purchase things for the house, that we forget to buy things that would make it a home! Often I have men purchase an item telling me “our house just needs this message”. I love when they step up and want to set the statement of their home, after all they are the man of the house!

The one item I have had men love and purchase the absolute most is The As For Me And My House We Will Serve The Lord wall decor.  It comes from Joshua 24:15 and sets a statement for a home. It declares this is what we will do, how we will act, and who we will serve. There will not denying that it is a Christian home based off of Christian values, and that loves and wants to serve our Lord! And when a man buys this for his home! Praise the Lord! He is declaring and carrying his family through faith and direction.

The As For Me And My House We Will Serve The Lord is metal is 23″ W x 17″ H. It is metal in rich brown tones and can be hung indoors or under a covered shelter.

Let me show you some ways it has been displayed outside of homes (under a covered shelter).

Or inside the home… in a quite prayer corner, with family pictures, at the top of a split staircase, or above a cabinet.

So ladies if your man brings this piece home… you will find the perfect spot for it I am sure. Declare is strong and proud! PS… also make a great gift for a man (Christmas, Birthday, Fathers Day to name a few)!

Tea Towel Wall Decor

Do you love to create DIY pieces for your home, or to give as a gift? If so this is such an easy and fun way to make a meaningful wall decor item. With 2 designs to choose from, you can add a scripture message in your dining room or kitchen, or a loving welcoming message in your entry way or living room.

Mary & Martha has 2 tea towels that are designed by Linday Letters that can be used for this project. The Love & Grace Tea Towel or Acts 2:46 Tea Towel. Both of these are available for only $22.

Next I purchased a 20×24 canvas frame. I have found these for as low as low as $5 each in local hobby stores or online sites. In this picture I found a buy on get one free which was $9 apiece. Either way you are making a big picture for less than $40 (with towel shipping and tax), not too bad!

frame

First I ironed the towel so it had no creases in it, laid it face down and centered the canvas on top of it. With thumb tacks I pushed the towel to the back of the wooden frame. Then I could flip it over and see if was centered. Adjust it as needed, and when is exactly where you want it, with a staple gun attached and secured the sides and corners of the towel to the wooden part of the frame.

frame 2

It was so easy! And for approx. $40 made a wonderful gift! So… means I had gotten 2 frames, I got another towel, so I could have a new picture for my home too! What do you think? Do you like it?

Say Thanks With Pumpkin

There is something about pumpkin that just tells us fall is here, and prepares us for the holiday season.

It is not just the taste, but the smell, combined with cinnamon and spices, binging back nostalgic memories, reminding, and taking us back home.

When we want to share the love of fall, and the love of a home, pumpkin is a great gift!

One of my favorite is Pumpkin Cheesecake Rolls. These are a treat everyone loves!  And delivered in these cute foil pans make a very nice gift!

Then there is also a home made pumpkin latte that is great to serve family and friends with they stop by! Served in these cute coffee mug that reads “begin each day with a grateful heart” is great way to serve, sip, and connect!

Enjoy pumpkin… and give, as a give of thanksgiving, and nostalgic reminder of the love of a home!

Giving Matters

Sometimes I think I have a “really good idea”, something I want to do for someone, give someone, or write and tell someone… but then I either:

  • get too busy and never do,
  • doubt the idea all together and never do,
  • worry the recipient will not appreciate and never do,
  • let too much time pass, the moment is gone, and I did not do it.

Have you ever done this? Or is it just me?

Since the first of the year I have had a resolution to mail more cards, and react on my thoughts of giving more. I have not been 100% faithful, but I am truly trying, and while God has shown me numerous times how important it is, the past two days I have been told and shown how much it really is.

#1. I had a friend who I sent a Birthday card tell me she used to get so many, but this year got 3 (one of them was mine) and how she loved it. With social media, we forget how special an important it makes us feel to personally get that piece of mail! The average person (excluding Christmas) gets 8 personal pieces of mail a YEAR! A card goes a long way when giving, and showing someone how much you care and love them!

#2. It’s ministry appreciation month, and the recipients eyes welled with tears when giving this simple gift. A quick snack mix in a cup, tied with string, and a note (which realized afterward I had even misspelled). I almost did not make it, or give it. I worried it was not cute enough, or they would think silly. But it made their day instead… I almost missed the chance to do that for them.

It does not matter if it is perfect, worded properly, or adorably decorated. What matters is to do it… when you have the idea, the person in mind, do it! Listen to your heart, God is directing you for a reason and GIVE to them what you are being called to give!

I have missed the chance many times in the past, but did not the past 2 days, thank you God for showing me the importance again! What we give and do matters! It does not good in our minds or hearts until we put it into action, JUST DO IT!
