Retro Caddy

There are so many ways to use a caddy! I have several all around my house, and this retro one will be next! It is called the Gather Together Kitchen Caddy  but can be used so many ways other than in the kitchen! It measures 101/2″W × 7″D × 5″T, is metal, and the message on the tag on it reads, Gather Together.

It works great to use  this caddy as a collect all on the countertop, to hold greeting cards and other desk top items, on the bathroom to hold beauty supplies, or as a caddy with fun birthday plates, cups, and silverware!

It also works great to create a gift basket, hold coloring books and pencil colors, as a centerpiece with flowers, or candles!

Tea Towel Wall Decor

Do you love to create DIY pieces for your home, or to give as a gift? If so this is such an easy and fun way to make a meaningful wall decor item. With 2 designs to choose from, you can add a scripture message in your dining room or kitchen, or a loving welcoming message in your entry way or living room.

Mary & Martha has 2 tea towels that are designed by Linday Letters that can be used for this project. The Love & Grace Tea Towel or Acts 2:46 Tea Towel. Both of these are available for only $22.

Next I purchased a 20×24 canvas frame. I have found these for as low as low as $5 each in local hobby stores or online sites. In this picture I found a buy on get one free which was $9 apiece. Either way you are making a big picture for less than $40 (with towel shipping and tax), not too bad!

First I ironed the towel so it had no creases in it, laid it face down and centered the canvas on top of it. With thumb tacks I pushed the towel to the back of the wooden frame. Then I could flip it over and see if was centered. Adjust it as needed, and when is exactly where you want it, with a staple gun attached and secured the sides and corners of the towel to the wooden part of the frame.

It was so easy! And for approx. $40 made a wonderful gift! So… means I had gotten 2 frames, I got another towel, so I could have a new picture for my home too! What do you think? Do you like it?

Add a few embellishments for a fun look too! 12799054_10153478869477825_468408175857776028_n

Don’t want to create it around a canvas? Bring to a framing place and your could look similar to this one.

Lindsay Letters

Lovely Lettering

When you are shopping, roaming through stores, do you ever have a certain font or lettering catch your eye? Those who work in graphic design know the right font can make or break the graphic’s appeal. I love to look on Pinterest all the different kinds and ways lettering is used. But I never really thought about the lettering begin designed by a person, that it’s their work of art, and even name it after their own name.

Lindsay Letters is one who does just this, she is a lettering designer, and has a whole like of products with her letting on it. The font is calligraphy in style, but has a touch of youthfulness, softness, and adorability to it! Take a look at her collection at and you will see how beautiful her work is.

Mary & Martha was thus excited to partner with her in creating 5 pieces for the spring/summer catalog. Here are the ones she helped create.

1. The Home Sign

It reads “We open our home in love and grace, and ask God’s blessing on this place.” The white lettering on the black sign looks like chalkboard, but it’s not!

2. The Think on these things from Philippians 4:8  noble & true mugs, lovely & pure mugs, 4 plates, roses watercolor tea towel, and sunflower watercolor tea towel are other pieces designed with Lindsay Letters. The vibrant colors of purple, yellow, pink, and blue brighten up a day!

3. The Pizza tray  from Psalm 36:8 reads: Feed them with the abundance of your own house. It is a pretty wood, that can be hung as a wall decor, or use reverse side for pizza or as a tray.

4. I couple other towels are the  love grace tea towel, and Acts 2:46 tea towel.

The love grace towel reads: We open our home in love and grace, and ask God’s blessing on this place.

The Acts 2:46 towel reads: They broke bread in their homes and ate wit glad and sincere hearts.

It is a cute towel, but makes an ever cuter wall decor when wrapped around a canvas board.

5. Then lastly is the cook with love apron. It reads: Celebrate life and cook with love, Psalm 36:8.

You can see how much style the lettering added to these pieces. It is always exciting to see people working in the God given talents they were given, and there is no doubt Lindsay Letter is doing just that!

Your Grace, My Gratitude

Do you know someone who “shows you grace?” While it is not like the Grace from God, it is that person who is kind and gracious to you, regardless, even when you do not really deserve it.

  • They speak kind and gentle words.
  • They seek out small ways to help you.
  • Responds to situations with a calmness.
  • Is there in times of grief and trials.
  • They say thank you and mean it.
  • Show a genuine interest in you.

To have a friend or person in your life such as this is such a blessing, and fills your heart with love. Or maybe a teacher who has been exceptional in your child’s life this year? A care giver who your Mom or Dad adores?

Wouldn’t it be nice to show them how their GRACE bring you so much GRATITUDE for them?

Well here are a few pieces that say just this.

1. The Small Footed Server

2. The Queen Anne Lace Pitcher

3. And the Grace & Gratitude dessert plates.

What a thoughtful gift any of these would be. Each time they see or use it the piece they are reminded about how their grace was appreciated, filling them with love.

With any order you can get FREE GIFT TAGS that express this message:

The GRACE you’ve given,

Your kind gentle ways.

I’m full of a GRATITUDE,

For you, and give praise!

Key People

Valentines Day is all about expressing love to others, and I find no better way than to give the “key” people in my life a crafty gift, made with love, from me.

The key bookmark project is an easy way to give a useful but meaningful gift.

To begin, the supplies you will need is Valentine tags (I found mine at Hobby Lobby), card stock, raffia, and the “key” to this project is the “keys” that can be purchased online. I used the Faithfulness Keys cause I love the words they say; gentleness, kindness, faithfulness, but there is also another set called Goodness Keys that are available.

First you need to print off what you want your bookmarks to say. Here is the templates I used saying You’re the key and Thank you  for a variety of people in my life.

Next cut the raffia about a foot long and weave it through the tag. Writing a personal note on the back of the tag is a nice addition too!

Next take the top of the raffia and tie on the key and card stock heart.

Now you have a cute bookmark to share with those  “key” people in your life!

So easy to make a bunch of these at once, and can really mix it up to say what you desire!

Think pastor, babysitter, friend, family, co-worker, neighbor, teacher, etc. A great gift for all!

Have fun creating and loving those “key” people you want to remember in your life!

Say Thanks With Pumpkin

There is something about pumpkin that just tells us fall is here, and prepares us for the holiday season.

It is not just the taste, but the smell, combined with cinnamon and spices, binging back nostalgic memories, reminding, and taking us back home.

When we want to share the love of fall, and the love of a home, pumpkin is a great gift!

One of my favorite is Pumpkin Cheesecake Rolls. These are a treat everyone loves!  And delivered in these cute foil pans make a very nice gift!

Then there is also a home made pumpkin latte that is great to serve family and friends with they stop by! Served in these cute coffee mug that reads “begin each day with a grateful heart” is great way to serve, sip, and connect!

Enjoy pumpkin… and give, as a give of thanksgiving, and nostalgic reminder of the love of a home!

A Gift of Gratitude

Take trendy burlap, and mix it with words of gratitude, and you have an amazing table runner!

Makes for a conversation piece around the table, “what are you grateful for today”, is a protection for the wood beneath it, and reminder of our faith and God’s love.

A thoughtful gift for anyone who wish to “thank” in your life!
