Next Christmas

With 3 outlet sale items

As we take down our Christmas decorations, it’s nice to preparing for next year by adding a few new fresh pieces to decorate with, or use as gifts! Here are 3 unique items on sale until January 18th (while supplies last)!

The Holy Family and Angel Nativity is one of my favorite things to decorate with at Christmas! It really is so much prettier than the picture shows even! It is hand carved out of mango wood (so each will have it’s own uniqueness), and has hand stamped embossed antiqued brass metal detail on it. The bottom of it reads: Rejoice! Emmanuel has come to thee! It is pretty big, and stands 13 1/2″ tall x 6 5/8″ diameter. It is a beautiful piece to put on a mantel, accent table, or anywhere, as its dark brown and brass tones really go with any home decor!
It was $64 and is now $32!

The Rock Block is a sold sturdy base. It is a large 9 3/4″ square and  7″ high piece that is based on a reproduction of an aged bannister head from a grand staircase long ago, this mango wood pillar is ornately hand carved and distressed in a weathered green. If you have on of our lanterns from the past, this sits on it very well! But you can also put a candlestick on it, a large bowl of fruit, a 6″ in candle, or love the burlap wrapped trees as in this picture too! So it has multiple uses! The base is embossed in antique copper and reads the Scripture, On God my salvation and my glory rest…The rock of my strength, my refuge is in God. PSALM 62:7
It was $84 and is now on sale $42.

Quite by accident that I realized how pretty the Holy Family And Angel Nativity also fit so nicely on the Rock Block. Together they stand about 24″ high and make such a pretty display and powerful statement! Would make a neat gift to give too! Even if have a full nativity already, you can add an angel somewhere in your home, or if have a very small home and do not have room for a full nativity, the angel statue can be your nativity!

Did you know the story of how a peacock resembles Christmas? Well the back of this Bright & Beautiful Christmas Tray explains it and adds such meaning to this unique tray!

Ampersand Meaning

Do you have something with ampersand on it you’d like to give as a gift?
Here’s is a little sentimental poem you can include in the card, connecting the importance of & in our lives, making it more meaningful and loving gift!

The Ampersand Meaning

The & symbol simply means, together or and,
but it has more power, than we realize it can.

It connects those decisions, we make in our life,
like who will be our spouse, husband or wife.

The people we spend time with,  friends that we make,
the things that we do, actions we take.

But there’s something it does, that’s oh so much more,
is when we include & in our life with Christ our Lord.

Your Kitchen Table

If your kitchen table is like ours, it’s where everyone gathers. It seems to be the place to not just sit and eat, but read the paper, look at your smart phone, do your homework, make a craft, and pray.  But it’s also the place to talk about each others day, organize schedules, make decisions, play games, laugh, have fun together… or cry, listen, and console each other.  The kitchen table is where some of the best conversion, stories, and memories are made. It’s an important part of a home.

Would it be nice to give a gift a that helps emphasizes your kitchen table, and all that happens in our lives around it? Something that encourages people to gather there, create those memories, live life together, and with God.

The large Lazy Susan is a gift item that does just that.  It reads: May our table be a place of plenty….a place to share….a place for love. The Lord surrounds His people both now and forevermore.

It’s a big 23″ and is made of mango wood. The detailing on it is makes it blend with a lighter oak or darker table too.

If it’s hard to tell the size of it, this video may help.

Not only is it a statement piece, but useful in some fun ways too! See how great it works for a puzzle or board games! Just rotate it around to each person as they are playing!

Vintage Hymnal Board

Do you remember they hymnal board in church growing up? For many it displayed the song number, so you could find it in the hymnal, and sing along.  Others used it to post announcement and activities that the week held.

This modern version hymnal board carries that memory into your home! Let me show it to you a bit better!

The Vintage Announcement Board comes with 2 sets of tiles, one dark brown and one grey. Each tile as wording on each side, so can be slid in the board to create a song. The tiles and songs that come with the board is the Revelation, Doxology, In Christ Alone, and Blessed Be The Name.

Here is a video to show this board better however some the tiles on here are no longer available. But the ones listed above and below are.

Then there are other Christmas tiles you can purchase if want to see a different message. They are Silent Night/O Holy Night and Isaiah 9:6/O Come All Ye Faithful Tiles. Then are are Personalized Tiles also that can say anything you want!

It is a very nostalgic and unique piece of decor. A traditional piece that reminds you of younger days, while also reminding you of God, faith, and love.

Who do you know that would enjoy this in their home?

I’m thinking wedding gift, Father’s day, Mother’s day, Grandparents, or even as a Ministry Appreciation gift!

Ampersand Wedding

Gifts, Decor, & More!

June is the month of weddings. Brides planning their big day… creating guests lists, talking to their minister, looking at dresses, organizing showers, calling photographers and DJ’s, and deciding decorations. Each is trying to add their own special touch to their special day, making it personal, unique, and memorable.

A common logogram that is seen more and more, is the ampersand “&”, a symbol that represents the word “and”.  While this & can combine various things, one of the most popular is Mr. & Mrs. making a fun and meaningful symbol used in weddings.

Here are a few unique items that contain the & sign that could be incorporated into wedding decor.

1. The Ampersand Tray.

This tray is big and made of distressed stained wood slats giving it dimension. This video will help to show it’s size!

iframe width=”560″ height=”315″ src=”” frameborder=”0″ allowfullscreen></iframe>

Since it is a tray, it has 2 rings on each side, making it perfect for the couple to each hold a ring for an engagement picture, similar to this one.

After pictures are over, use it as a prop at the reception too!

Or give as a wedding gift for the couples home. In the card you can say,
“You are now a “&”, Mr. & Mrs.!”

2. The Ampersand Tote.

The bridesmaids often get a gift from the bride, and a tote for them to carry around a change of shoes, clothes, and personal belongings is a nice gesture. This burlap ampersand one is fun and just the right size too!

Add a card to it saying,
“I appreciate having you by my side & sharing our new life together!”

3. The Ampersand Card Holder.

This little ampersand has a slot in it to hold a place card such as at the head table.

But another fun way to use it would be to insert a picture of the couple, and display next to table centerpieces, on the gift table, or even cake table.

Or you could use to give insructions, such as saying,                                                                            “Take a piece of cake & we hope you take seconds”, or “Please sign the guest book & have a good time”, “We thank you for coming & spending the evening with us.”

These 3 things are just unique and fun items that can easily be included in wedding decorations, giving the wedding and reception a flair all it’s own, while declaring, here is the new Mr. & Mrs.!

Lindsay Letters

Lovely Lettering

When you are shopping, roaming through stores, do you ever have a certain font or lettering catch your eye? Those who work in graphic design know the right font can make or break the graphic’s appeal. I love to look on Pinterest all the different kinds and ways lettering is used. But I never really thought about the lettering begin designed by a person, that it’s their work of art, and even name it after their own name.

Lindsay Letters is one who does just this, she is a lettering designer, and has a whole like of products with her letting on it. The font is calligraphy in style, but has a touch of youthfulness, softness, and adorability to it! Take a look at her collection at and you will see how beautiful her work is.

Mary & Martha was thus excited to partner with her in creating 5 pieces for the spring/summer catalog. Here are the ones she helped create.

1. The Home Sign

It reads “We open our home in love and grace, and ask God’s blessing on this place.” The white lettering on the black sign looks like chalkboard, but it’s not!

2. The Think on these things from Philippians 4:8  noble & true mugs, lovely & pure mugs, 4 plates, roses watercolor tea towel, and sunflower watercolor tea towel are other pieces designed with Lindsay Letters. The vibrant colors of purple, yellow, pink, and blue brighten up a day!

3. The Pizza tray  from Psalm 36:8 reads: Feed them with the abundance of your own house. It is a pretty wood, that can be hung as a wall decor, or use reverse side for pizza or as a tray.

4. I couple other towels are the  love grace tea towel, and Acts 2:46 tea towel.

The love grace towel reads: We open our home in love and grace, and ask God’s blessing on this place.

60116_large (1)

The Acts 2:46 towel reads: They broke bread in their homes and ate wit glad and sincere hearts.

It is a cute towel, but makes an ever cuter wall decor when wrapped around a canvas board.

5. Then lastly is the cook with love apron. It reads: Celebrate life and cook with love, Psalm 36:8.

You can see how much style the lettering added to these pieces. It is always exciting to see people working in the God given talents they were given, and there is no doubt Lindsay Letter is doing just that!
