Valentine Mailings

Do you have a few Valentine cards to mail, and want to add just a little something to it, to make it more special? Did you neglect to get anything ordered, and time is of the essence right now?

Here are a few suggestions!

1. I seen these cute chalkboard hearts at Walmart, a local Dollar Tree store, and similar type ones on Amazon. Add one to your card, telling them you love them! 🙂

2. Head to your local post office or stamps.com and there is a nice variety of stamps you could add such as this one:

3. Don’t even have time to go out to get those? Do you have a daily desktop calendar in your house? Tear the current daily page off and write a not on the back, such as “I thought of you today,” or “This verse reminded me of you,” etc. The personal note to that day adds so much love, and I love using the Bible Verse version for this!

The main thing is to get it done and in the mail. Too often we think of ideas and things we want to do, but then never do it. By our procrastination, we are denying the expression of love that person probably needs so much right now. It doesn’t have to be fancy, just from the heart!

Make this Valentines Day a special day for those you love in your life!

Key People

Valentines Day is all about expressing love to others, and I find no better way than to give the “key” people in my life a crafty gift, made with love, from me.

The key bookmark project is an easy way to give a useful but meaningful gift.

To begin, the supplies you will need is Valentine tags (I found mine at Hobby Lobby), card stock, raffia, and the “key” to this project is the “keys” that can be purchased online. I used the Faithfulness Keys cause I love the words they say; gentleness, kindness, faithfulness, but there is also another set called Goodness Keys that are available.

First you need to print off what you want your bookmarks to say. Here is the templates I used saying You’re the key and Thank you  for a variety of people in my life.

Next cut the raffia about a foot long and weave it through the tag. Writing a personal note on the back of the tag is a nice addition too!

Next take the top of the raffia and tie on the key and card stock heart.

Now you have a cute bookmark to share with those  “key” people in your life!

So easy to make a bunch of these at once, and can really mix it up to say what you desire!

Think pastor, babysitter, friend, family, co-worker, neighbor, teacher, etc. A great gift for all!

Have fun creating and loving those “key” people you want to remember in your life!
