Christmas Cards A Coming!

be ready to display!

It’s that time of year! Soon our mailboxes will be holding Christmas cards, letters, and photos! It is so much fun to see how our friend and families have grown, and catch up on their lives. But don’t you just hate to put their lovely pictures and meaningful cards in a box, or on a pile? It is so much better to show them, be able to see them, and display them in a cute way!

Well… here are 2 options!

1. The Blessings Cardholder is a long and narrow wire holder that works great in small spaces. It has 31 rings to holds cards or photos. Great for Christmas, or year round, as Grandparents love using this to display their Grandchildren’s pictures! Know someone who live in an assisting living center? This is a great gift for them!

Insert Last Name

Our last name! From little on, we learn that our last name connects us to family and gives us a belonging. It proudly shows our nationality and our heritage. It tells us who we are and shows others who belongs to us! We write our last name so people know us from others and display our last name on our mailbox so people know where we live. But what about inside our homes, do you have your last name there? We all want our children feel unique and loved, and a last name does just that, so displaying your last name inside a home is powerful, and… the reason why personalization is popular.

Let’s look at a few wall hangings and insert a last name.
1. Family Rules Canvas

Screen Shot 2015-10-26 at 12.16.09 PM

This chalkboard look canvas comes in a wrapped canvas, or white, black, or gold frame. It not only reads the last name but declares the loving rules of the home, and shows it’s faith reminders too. Pray, forgive, love God, and others statements that provide the basis of a strong family.

2. God’s Sweet Grace Canvas

Screen Shot 2015-10-26 at 12.15.40 PM

This canvas looks like wood, and has a stamped look. It also comes in a wrapped canvas, or white, black, or gold frame. It reads the last name, and gives the establishment date, which makes this a wonderful wedding gift for the new couple! And reminds us of God’s Grace, which we need daily!

3. State of Mind Canvas

Screen Shot 2015-10-26 at 12.15.56 PM

On this canvas you can pick your state, choose your color, and add your name. It also comes in a wrapped canvas, or white, black, or gold frame. The fine print under the word mine reads: As for me and my family, we will serve the Lord. Joshua 24:15. Have you lived in several states? Would be fun to make a wall collage of all the states you’ve called home!

How could you use these wall hangings in your home?

  • How about making a gallery wall of several pieces that are meaningful to your family. This picture is an example.
Screen Shot 2015-10-26 at 12.11.36 PM
  • Or give a gift that is personalized! By adding a name to a gift makes it makes it meaningful, thoughtful, and one they will treasure. Years to come it will still hold their name and the loving gesture of receiving when they received it and who gave it lives on!

What item do you have in your home with your last name on it?

I remember my girls helping me cook and bake, and those moments together in the kitchen are some of the most important ones in life. Not only are they learning a life long skill, but the conversations or songs sang while baking cookies are precious. It’s just the two of you working together, and living and sharing life together. I love how this apron can make that moment even more special!

What was something you loved to baked or cooked growing up? Please share!

Serve or Store

with the adjustable tiered stand

Organizing & catch-alls… I am constantly figuring out where to put things!

Countertops & table … I am constantly gathering items to clear a space!

Decorating & displays… I am constantly changing things for each season!

Serving & meals… I am constantly doing this with my family!

I love to have an item that is usable in many different ways. Something that can go from holding craft supplies when working on a project, to apples in the fall, to hamburger buns when grilling. But also one that can be decorated and made cute when needed too! Well I have been playing around with this tiered server and I love how functional it is! It comes with baskets and wooden plates, this way you can change it around or use a combination of them too! The small basket is 9 1/2″ x 4 1/2″, medium 11 1/2″ x 4 1/2″, and large 13″ x 4 1/2″.

It easily can be used for storage of items such as cleaning supplies, hand lotion, and towels, or food such as fruit, vegetables, and spices, or some of each!

And when you want to use it for serving, you can insert the wooden plates instead of the baskets.
This video will show you how easy it is to change around!

The bottom large wooden plate reads: “May you give peace for every step, joy for every day, and strength for every moment, Amen.” The small wooden plate is 8 1/2″, medium 10 1/2″, and large 12″.

Next Christmas

With 3 outlet sale items

As we take down our Christmas decorations, it’s nice to preparing for next year by adding a few new fresh pieces to decorate with, or use as gifts! Here are 3 unique items on sale until January 18th (while supplies last)!

The Holy Family and Angel Nativity is one of my favorite things to decorate with at Christmas! It really is so much prettier than the picture shows even! It is hand carved out of mango wood (so each will have it’s own uniqueness), and has hand stamped embossed antiqued brass metal detail on it. The bottom of it reads: Rejoice! Emmanuel has come to thee! It is pretty big, and stands 13 1/2″ tall x 6 5/8″ diameter. It is a beautiful piece to put on a mantel, accent table, or anywhere, as its dark brown and brass tones really go with any home decor!
It was $64 and is now $32!

Holy Family and Angel Nativity Nativity

The Rock Block is a sold sturdy base. It is a large 9 3/4″ square and  7″ high piece that is based on a reproduction of an aged bannister head from a grand staircase long ago, this mango wood pillar is ornately hand carved and distressed in a weathered green. If you have on of our lanterns from the past, this sits on it very well! But you can also put a candlestick on it, a large bowl of fruit, a 6″ in candle, or love the burlap wrapped trees as in this picture too! So it has multiple uses! The base is embossed in antique copper and reads the Scripture, On God my salvation and my glory rest…The rock of my strength, my refuge is in God. PSALM 62:7
It was $84 and is now on sale $42.

Quite by accident that I realized how pretty the Holy Family And Angel Nativity also fit so nicely on the Rock Block. Together they stand about 24″ high and make such a pretty display and powerful statement! Would make a neat gift to give too! Even if have a full nativity already, you can add an angel somewhere in your home, or if have a very small home and do not have room for a full nativity, the angel statue can be your nativity!

Angel Nativity and rock block

Did you know the story of how a peacock resembles Christmas? Well the back of this Bright & Beautiful Christmas Tray explains it and adds such meaning to this unique tray!

Valentine Mailings

Do you have a few Valentine cards to mail, and want to add just a little something to it, to make it more special? Did you neglect to get anything ordered, and time is of the essence right now?

Here are a few suggestions!

1. I seen these cute chalkboard hearts at Walmart, a local Dollar Tree store, and similar type ones on Amazon. Add one to your card, telling them you love them! 🙂

Screen Shot 2015-02-10 at 3.10.30 PM

2. Head to your local post office or stamps.com and there is a nice variety of stamps you could add such as this one:

Screen Shot 2015-02-10 at 3.13.44 PM

3. Don’t even have time to go out to get those? Do you have a daily desktop calendar in your house? Tear the current daily page off and write a not on the back, such as “I thought of you today,” or “This verse reminded me of you,” etc. The personal note to that day adds so much love, and I love using the Bible Verse version for this!

Screen Shot 2015-02-10 at 3.20.35 PM

The main thing is to get it done and in the mail. Too often we think of ideas and things we want to do, but then never do it. By our procrastination, we are denying the expression of love that person probably needs so much right now. It doesn’t have to be fancy, just from the heart!

Make this Valentines Day a special day for those you love in your life!

Key People

Valentines Day is all about expressing love to others, and I find no better way than to give the “key” people in my life a crafty gift, made with love, from me.

The key bookmark project is an easy way to give a useful but meaningful gift.

To begin, the supplies you will need is Valentine tags (I found mine at Hobby Lobby), card stock, raffia, and the “key” to this project is the “keys” that can be purchased online. I used the Faithfulness Keys cause I love the words they say; gentleness, kindness, faithfulness, but there is also another set called Goodness Keys that are available.

Screen Shot 2015-02-02 at 10.48.01 AMScreen Shot 2015-02-02 at 10.48.29 AM

First you need to print off what you want your bookmarks to say. Here is the templates I used saying You’re the key and Thank you  for a variety of people in my life.

Next cut the raffia about a foot long and weave it through the tag. Writing a personal note on the back of the tag is a nice addition too!

Screen Shot 2015-02-02 at 10.49.58 AMScreen Shot 2015-02-02 at 10.50.59 AM

Next take the top of the raffia and tie on the key and card stock heart.

Screen Shot 2015-02-02 at 10.50.22 AM Screen Shot 2015-02-02 at 10.50.12 AM

Now you have a cute bookmark to share with those  “key” people in your life!

Screen Shot 2015-02-02 at 10.48.57 AMScreen Shot 2015-02-02 at 10.49.16 AMScreen Shot 2015-02-02 at 10.49.27 AMScreen Shot 2015-02-02 at 10.50.33 AM

So easy to make a bunch of these at once, and can really mix it up to say what you desire!

Think pastor, babysitter, friend, family, co-worker, neighbor, teacher, etc. A great gift for all!

Have fun creating and loving those “key” people you want to remember in your life!
